Men's Fall Short
The Hammies short is an old short for a new generation. This short style was popularized in the 1970s in Southern California and for a decade it was the staple of skateboarders, surfers, rollerskaters, camp counselors, Tom Selleck, and many more. In the mid-1980s, shorts got longer and pants got baggier and for the proceeding 3 decades, the shorts were forgotten (a period also known as The Shorts Dark Ages). Fast-forward to 2017: Hammies has revived the once forgotten shorts in all of their primary-colored and wide-waled corduroy glory and once again, all was right with the world.
In short, the Hammies short is a homage to a time when shorts were shorter, fuzzier, and more colorful. These are your dad's shorts!

I've been looking for short-inseamed shorts for decades. I had O.P. shorts in the 70s and 80s but couldn't find them anymore. Hammies are exactly what I was hoping to find. I bought two pair to try out. I was so satisfied after receiving them, I purchased four more pair.

These shorts are awesome. If you are looking for old school surf shorts buy these. They are just as good or better than the OP shorts. Don’t be scared and grab a pair.

I order two pair of mens 36 blue and black...On sale. Super happy about that. I went to the store front in Carpinteria to find out my sizing...didnt want to deal with the headache of a return process. The 38 sizing too large and the womens version even tho the sales lady Carla said it was unisex, I couldn't agree. Womens shorts aee shirter in length. I did try reaching out to Hammy's company on Instagram to ask the difference in men's and women's sizing. I never got a response. I am a cury woman and the mens fit me better! Little disappointed that the store front didnt have many sizing option for the mens pants. I will say the blue shorts feel not as thick as the black ones. I pefer the feel of the blue ones... They are much more comfortable.

Even after a shrink in the wash these shorts (bought at my size) these start to slide off my body if I have anything in my pockets. Look great but not too cool to have to be constantly pulling my britches up.
