Men's Short
The Hammies short is an old short for a new generation. This short style was popularized in the 1970s in Southern California and for a decade it was the staple of skateboarders, surfers, rollerskaters, camp counselors, Tom Selleck, and many more. In the mid-1980s, shorts got longer and pants got baggier and for the proceeding 3 decades, the shorts were forgotten (a period also known as The Shorts Dark Ages). Fast-forward to 2017: Hammies has revived the once forgotten shorts in all of their primary-colored and wide-waled corduroy glory and once again, all was right with the world.
In short, the Hammies short is a homage to a time when shorts were shorter, fuzzier, and more colorful. These are your dad's shorts!

Arrived in a resonable time frame, package was in good shape, they fit perfectly but the $75 cost is totally unreasonable!
I've been looking for short-inseamed shorts for decades. I had O.P. shorts in the 70s and 80s but couldn't find them anymore. Hammies are exactly what I was hoping to find. I bought two pair to try out. I was so satisfied after receiving them, I purchased four more pair.
Great fit! Iām happy with them but will definitely size down next time, theyāre pretty stretchy
My 3rd pair. Love them. Length could be a little shorter but fantastic quality and look. Light purple shade is gorgeous.
As a guy with shorter legs, these are INCREDIBLE. They are soft and stretchy without looking lazy or too casual. I might go down a waist size in my next order due to the stretchiness combined with a lack of belt loops.
These shorts are way above my husbandās expectations! He keeps parading around the house wearing them with his big belly like an aged 53 year old supermodel. He said they fit just like the old OPs. Elastic waste band in the back is much appreciated. The pockets are perfect, front old school style zipper, great corduroy fabric.
Now I know what to get him for birthdays and Christmas!
Just got these shorts and love them so much, had my eye on them for months and finally bought them. There are two things I wish were different though. I wish there were belt loops. I knew buying there would be none, so wasnāt surprised but just wish they were there. My second thing is the snap, often when I bend over it will pop open. They are snug but definitely not too small, so doesnāt take a lot for it to pop open like that. If there were belt loops wouldnāt be an issue. Itās not major but can be a bit awkward in public.
But outside that I love them, got black and purple and Iām very happy with them!
I really like the style but i got the wrong size :( I recommend maybe going a size down since they have a bit of stretch. Im usually around a 36, so thats what i ordered but they are just a little too loose on me, and since there are no belt loops its kinda hopeless. I will definitely try with a different size soon.
