Exchanges and returns

We offer free exchange and return options for customers in the US and other options for international orders. We offer full refunds for returns started within 30 days of the fulfillment date and store credit for returns that are started within 90 days of the fulfillment date. The Hammies short is an old short for a new generation. This short style was popularized in the 1970s in Southern California and for a decade it was the staple of skateboarders, surfers, rollerskaters, camp counselors, Tom Selleck, and many more. In the mid-1980s, shorts got longer and pants got baggier and for the proceeding 3 decades, the shorts were forgotten (a period also known as The Shorts Dark Ages). Fast-forward to 2017: Hammies has revived the once forgotten shorts in all of their primary-colored and wide-waled corduroy glory and once again, all was right with the world.

In short, the Hammies short is a homage to a time when shorts were shorter, fuzzier, and more colorful. These are your dad's shorts!

I love these shorts. The color is nice and bright and they fit great. They do have some stretch to them as well around the waist area.

Rad 70's style skate shorts!

These Hammies shorts are very comfortable, high-quality corduroy shorts perfect for wearing while doing surf skating, and anytime really! I am totally lovin' the vintage 70's style and how similar they look to the Rector skateboard shorts worn by many skaters back in the early days of skateboarding. Exactly what I wanted

I snagged these shorts on sale, and they are exactly what I wanted. They're well made, comfortable, and look true to the photo. I got a 32, since that is what I normally wear in pants, and I was worried that they might run small, but they have a fair amount of stretch to them and fit true to size. One word of advice, thought: you gotta wear briefs or go commando with these; boxers and boxer briefs will show through the leg holes.

Best shorts ever!

These shorts absolutely rock! I'm a size 31, I sized down to 30, and that was totally the move. They fit perfect everywhere and I have larger legs. Most shorts feel uncomfortable in the groin area but these leave plenty of room. I will certainly buy again! They stretch in all the important areas. Awesome.

Plush corduroy, comfortable elastic waist, and cut so they're not baggy or restrictive. The two-tone combination will make these fun to over-dye for further color enhancement.

Phenomenal product! The shorts are incredibly well constructed, stretchy and light with tons of give but very durable.

The high waist and snap button means you can wear them up at your natural waist line for the retro Tom selleck shirt short look, or comfortable pull them down to the hip for a slightly longer more modest look.
